RAI operates through its National Council, two Regional Councils and its Committees.
RAI’s National Council includes its founder members, - the who’s who of Indian retail. The National Council sets the development and policy agenda for RAI.
From a retail value chain perspective, RAI has constituted committees for key aspects such as Finance, Human Resource, Advocacy, Supply Chain and Technology. Each of these committees has an annual “Terms of Reference” including guiding on Policy, Events and Networking.
Our committees are powerful platforms for industry aggregation as well as policy formation.
The committee members are also actively involved with shaping the agenda and format for our networking meets and conferences, to ensure maximum relevance to Retail.
RAI’s Finance Committee: Focuses on funding trends and models. Drives the agenda and structure of our annual CFO Summit.
RAI’s Advocacy Committee: Drives the creation of the “Voice of Industry on Retail Policy” including issues such as FDI, GST, Local Body Tax (LBT) etc.
RAI’s HR Committee: Works as an information interchange platform for HR practices across retail segments and formats. Also drives the agenda and event structure for our annual Manning Modern Retailing.
RAI’s Supply Chain Committee: Works with the retail services fraternity to disseminate best in class practices on supply chain management. Is closely aligned with the Finance and Technology committees. Drives the agenda and structure of our annual Supply Chain Summit.
RAI’s Technology Committee: Mentors emerging product companies in the arena of Retail. Drives the agenda for our annual Retail Technology Conclave (ReTechCon) which is India’s largest platform for Business to connect with Technology.
