Academic Members
Eligibility:
rai welcomes educational institution members who fulfill the following eligibility criteria for enrollment:
1) Should be registered as an educational institution/Educational Trust in India
2) Must offer as part of the curriculum one or more courses in Management / Retail / Design / Visual Merchandising / Communication / related service or management areas at the certificate or vocational or graduate or post-graduate level.
The objective of having this class of academic members is for encouraging and helping them have retail courses that will bring awareness and interest to students in the area of retailing and enable them to decide on retail careers. The principal role of the academic members will be to understand from the members the educational and training needs of the industry in order to fulfill them for mutual benefits. The academic members shall identify research opportunities provided by the member companies for bridging the gaps that may exist for attaining the benchmarked efficiencies in retailing. The academic members shall involve themselves in preparing and training people to take up retailing projects and careers handholding with the member companies.
