The fourth edition of Inorbit’s Pink Power initiative that empowers women entrepreneurs drew to an illustrious close recently. The season received close to 538 entries with business set-ups across various verticals like Food, Skin & Beauty, Home décor, handicraft, and much more. After a lot of deliberation, the judges finally chose the 10 promising women entrepreneurs as winners, who won free retail space within Inorbit Malls for a period of nine months. The winners hailed from like Mumbai (Malad & Vashi), Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Vadodara and were felicitated by youth icon Malishka Mendonsa.


  • Vamaxi Mody (Founder of Nutricion): Nutricion offers a healthy range of home-grown power foods that include Granola Cereals, Dairy Free Stone Ground nut butters, Sprouted and classical flavours, Energy bars and Dairy Free milk.
  • Jyoti Chhetri (Founder of Wag & Love): The brand is dedicated to offer a new-age, natural and grain-free dog food.


  • Krishna Tamalia Vora (Founder of Mom’s Therapy): Mom’s Therapy offers a range of herbal oils, Scrubs and Hair packs.
  • Sujata Hanchate (Founder of Shommy Snow Ice): It offers a unique mix ice-cream made of snow ice grated to a fine texture and low fat cow milk, sugar and fruits.
  • Vritti Vaswani (El Postre): It offers freshly baked cakes and desserts.


  • Kinnery Garg (Founder of Arome Herbals): Arome Herbals offers a wide range of handmade soaps, body lotions, face scrubs, pure essential oils and natural skin care products.


  • Sai Deepika (Founder of Sippy Monks): The brand offers a unique spread of milkshakes and mocktails with a blend of tender coconut milk and tasty flavours.
  • Shipra Nayyar (Founder of Ozel Bir Say): The brand offers handmade potli bags, clutches, bridesmaid hampers, wedding giveaways and jewellery.


  • Suvarna Solanki (Founder of Salad Republic): The product offerings includes Salads, juices and shakes.
  • Devashree Rawal (Founder of Humble Bee): Humble bee offers Handcrafted natural bathing essentials like soaps, bath salts and fragrances sourced from 100% natural ingredients.

In addition to the retail space, Inorbit will mentor the winners with the support of TRRAIN (Trust for Retailers and Retail Associates of India) for understanding the operations in a retail format and grow their business. The Central Bank of India too has associated with Pink Power to offer soft loan assistance to the winning entrepreneurs.

1India Family Mart by Ms. Sabita Das APS dy SP HQ NagaonDelhi-based Nysaa Retail Pvt. Ltd, which operates a chain of ‘Value Retail’ stores under the brand name ‘1-India Family Mart’ across Tier 2 & 3 cities in Eastern and Northern India will invest Rs 200 crore to open 100 stores in the next two financial years.

“Value retail has long been associated with consumers having to compromise in terms of the shopping experience, ambiance and customer service. 1-India Family Mart wants to change this perception. The plan is to expand and accumulate about 12 lakh sq. ft. of retail space by 2020 from the present 4.25 lakh sq. ft. Following the opening of the new stores, we expect to record net revenue of about Rs 750 crore in 2019, which will further increase to Rs 900 - 1,000 crore by 2020,” said Jay Prakash Shukla, founder & Chief Executive Office of 1-India Family Mart.

About 50 per cent of the total investment required would be raked in through internal accruals and the remaining through debt. Nysaa Retail Pvt. Ltd has recorded more than 60% growth over the previous fiscal, with net sales rising to Rs 235 crore as against Rs 147.5 the previous fiscal year. Earlier this year, Nysaa raised Rs. 42.5 crore from private equity firm Carpediem Advisors Pvt. Ltd in the company’s first and only external funding round since it was founded in 2012.

Currently the company has stores across Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and the North East and will touch a top line of Rs. 750 Cr in net revenue by 2019. More stores have translated into significantly higher revenue, which has grown at a steady clip and 1-India Family Mart has been profitable for three years running.

In line with its aggressive expansion plans, Nysaa recently launched a new store in Kasiya, Uttar Pradesh as also its first store in Nagaon, Assam, taking its store count to 59.

“There is an increasing demand for affordable fresh fashion in an organised retail format amongst the aspirational class in India, which has motivated us to extend & strengthen our brand presence in Eastern India & Uttar Pradesh,” said Ravinder Singh, Co-founder & COO, 1-India Family Mart.

1 India Family Mart Raigarh Store Opening by Mr. D.KDelhi-based Nysaa Retail Pvt. Ltd, which operates a chain of affordable fashion stores under the brand name ‘1-India Family Mart’ across Eastern and Northern parts of India, announced the launch of its first store in Raigarh, Chattisgarh. The store will be a one-stop-shop for innovative and affordable fresh fashion apparel and general merchandise.

The store was inaugurated by D K Saraogi, Director, Jindal Steel & Power Ltd.

Speaking at the inauguration, Ravinder Singh, Co-founder & COO, 1-India Family Mart said, “There is an increasing demand for affordable fresh fashion in an organised retail format amongst the aspirational class in India, which has motivated us to extend and strengthen our brand presence further. The aspirational segment in the Tier II & III cities has shown a high desirability to keep up-to-date with the latest trends in style and fashionable merchandise and 1-India Family Mart takes pride in being able to cater to our customer’s requirement."

Last year, the company raised a sum of USD 6.5 million from Carpediem Capital. 1-India Family Mart plans to utilize the funds towards expansion and strengthening technology & capabilities.

Nysaa Retail Private Limited, the holding company of 1-India Family Mart was established in 2012 and began operations in 2013 with the first store in UP. Soon, it expanded operations to Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, and North East. Today, 1-India Family Mart has 54 stores across East and North of India.

Spread over 9,300 sq ft, it promises to fulfil the fashion needs of an entire family under one roof at best prices.
