Globus & Shoppers Stop give away first batch of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) certificates

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) officially recognises the prior learning (skills and knowledge) of an individual so that s/he can enter or re-enter formal training institutions thus enhancing employment opportunities.
The program is supported by the Union Government and the certificate received by the learner on completion of the programme bears​ the prestigious Government of India seal – the regal ‘Ashoka Chakra’ – a mark of the highest recognition in the country.
Till date as many as ​​2257 participants have registered for the programme, out of which 1259 cleared assessment.
Globus and Shoppers Stop India Ltd were some of the first retail companies to enrol their employees in the programme, with Globus enrolling 260 participants and Shoppers Stop enrolling 1496. Out of these, 171 from Globus and 891 from Shoppers Stop have cleared assessment. In the first round​,​ Globus distributed RPL certificates​ ​ to 40 candidates and letters of appreciation to all participants who have successfully cleared assessment. Shoppers Stop has just begun the distributing certificates with their Kolkata store.
